Study Tips:
To be successful on assessments, students use a variety of study techniques to help them prepare. Here is a list of suggestions. They will not all be applicable to every type of assessment. If you have additional suggestions, please contact your teacher and ask that they be added to this list.
- I made sure I studied each section that would be tested, from the study guide list of items given in class
- I studied on Quizlet
- I made flashcards
- I wrote out sample sentences/questions
- I studied a few sections each day
- I re-wrote my notes
- As soon as I knew about the assessment, I started planning how to study each day
- I practiced additional questions/sentences on the Internet
- I have studied with a friend/relative or asked a friend/relative to quiz me on this material
- I used a/several graphic organizers to detail my understanding of the material
- I practiced writing out the information I know in a paragraph, specifically explaining each component that would be tested
- I created a study guide from the material given in class
- I created/located a song to help me remember the list of words/terms
- I created/located a mnemonic device to help me remember the list of words/terms
